Ok, it is official. My foot is toast. It was doing so much better, and then I pushed it too hard(I think). So off to the podiatrist next week to get it back on track. Their is much optimism for this problem to be resolved, but I have officially encountered a setback. I will keep [...]

Bike rack
Got the bike rack installed on the Pathfinder, so it is ready to go. Hopefully, there will be lots of cross training going on. In fact, I was going to ride to Compassion this afternoon (10-12 miles), but it was WAY too windy. So it looks like another big night of “elipticizing”. This has been [...]
Snow, and new shoes
It has not been very good weather for running outside lately. Cold, windy and snowy. Looks like winter has finally arrived in Colorado. Anyway, I have been hitting the eliptical hard anyway, and hoping my heel gets better. I must have pushed too hard and injured it, but it seems to be getting better. So [...]
Eliptical
I haven’t updated much, as we have been very busy. I had a research paper due in Advanced Hermeneutics, and it took quite a bit of time. I have been running (if that is what you call it on an eliptical machine), however, and it is a great workout. It is a great workout when [...]
1/2 way there
Well, I just noticed my countdown on the left hand side of the blog, and it says I stated 6 months 6 days ago, and now have 6 months and 4 days left. Yikes! So how is it going? My heel is still bugging me. Was doing better, but I must have reinjured it. Starting [...]
Another tough training day on the links
I have been doing the epliptical alot due to that heel issue. Still bugging me, but maybe if I do low impact heel stuff for a while, it will resolve itself. I also had a tough day training on the links today too. Another beautiful day here in Colorado. Do you like my pink ball?
12 miler with horses, hawk(or a falcon) and an update
Ran the Falcon Trail at the Air force Academy….and was it TOUGH. Gnarly singletrack with a bunch of hills. In fact, I know that I ran 2 miles up a hill, 1/2 way into the run. Anyway, I had to walk the last mile or so. Just too much for an old guy like me. [...]
LONG Run(and an airplane)
I ran the longest training run so far, today. Over 12 miles. Felt pretty good except my heel is still bugging me some. Just got to “toughen” it up, I guess. Just for fun, follow the route in the map route below and look for the airplane around mile marker 5. Pretty COOL! (Go to [...]
12miler and heel
Ran 12 miles yesterday, and felt great. My heel was feeling better until 1/2 way into the run, and I got some sort of a cramp in it. Let me tell you , a cramp in your heel is no fun thing. Anyway, I will have to go back to the Chiro to get it [...]
ART
My brother was telling me about a chiropractor in Iowa that was a miracle worker, and used something called ART. So I looked it up on the internet, and found out that the founder of ART has his office here in Colorado Springs. So I went to him last year, and I was blown away. [...]
Me and pooch on Wed.
I took pooch again last Wednesday, and she did not do very well. I had to almost drag her the last 2 miles, so not more runs for her unless it is really cold out. We ran up Delmonico next to the mountains. See pictures.
