Today, I went to the Antietam Civil War Battlefield next to Sharpsburg Maryland.  It was very impressive and exhausting.  This battle was earlier in the war and was the first incursion of the Confederacy into the North.  It was on September 17, 1862, and by the time it was over, there were around 23,000 casualties [...]

We had a progressive Christmas Party last night with the folks in the neighborhood.  Lots of fun, fellowship, food and drinks!

We went back to Illinois for Thanksgiving this year, and it was a little tough because mom was not around this time.  While there, dad and I went over to the Arsenal to visit her grave and dad participated in an honor guard of a fallen vet.  I got it on video.
